Q & A

Q: Can I purchase a cover without text?

A: If you want to purchase a cover for inspiration for your unfinished book, I’ll sell you the cover with placeholder text, so no one else can purchase it. When you’ve completed the book and have the title, contact me and I’ll swap out the text at no extra charge.

Q: Can I ask for an edit or change to a premade cover image? What fonts can I choose from?

A: My premade cover images can’t be changed, but text can be modified/added. I prefer to use Google fonts with no copyright license required.

Q: Where do you get your images? Are they copyrighted? Do you have model releases?

A: I use standard licensed non-editorial Shutterstock images (these are images that have model releases and are safe to use on covers and any promotional materials). The cost of these images are included in the price listed. I don’t take chances on copyright infringement. I will provide the proofs of the Shutterstock images used, at your request. That means it’s safe to purchase book covers by Good Line Designs! Note: For copyright requirements, I disclose that these images were purchased under a standard license (see shutterstock.com for more details). If your book sells more than 500,000 copies, you must purchase an enhanced license through shutterstock.com.

Q: Is your site safe for me to use?

A: I process your purchases through PayPal for a safe and secure shopping experience. Use your PayPal account or checkout without creating a PayPal account. (see details on paypal.com)

Q: Can I do a partial payment for a cover?

A: I require 100% payment up front for all covers I sell. A total refund is issued if client is not satisfied.

Q: What should I expect to receive when I purchase a cover?

A: You’ll receive a JPEG or PDF file of your cover. I don’t provide the Photoshop file so we can stand by our one-of-a-kind promise. This is a one-of-a-kind cover that will not be sold to anyone else. I’ll also provide, at your request, a mock-up of your cover at no additional cost to you.
